There is Power in the NAME of JESUS

I have been mediating upon this lately and I believe that the Lord is speaking to us that there is more to the name of Jesus than what we have been able to understand to this point. Just recently my pastor began a sermon series about the names of Jesus and how they describe Him. I do not believe that this is a coincidence but a part of what God is trying to speak into the Church in this hour.

The world as we know it is looking for an answer. The Church proclaims that it has the answer, but do we really believe it? Do we really believe that there is power and authority in the name of Jesus? When one studies out the life of the early church it appears that they used the name of Jesus everywhere they went and the world was turned upside down as a result. Jesus gave us His name. Remember this is a name that is above every name. But what does that really mean?

If the name of Jesus is above every name than it means that cancer, heart disease, fear, depression, etc. must bow its knee to His name. After all the aforementioned things that the world system and the devil try to place upon people are nothing more than names. And if the one we serve is greater than all of this or whatever one is faced with, than should we not be using the Name of Jesus, in faith, more often?

Church, I challenge you to use the name of Jesus where ever you go. I have used that name many a times in my workplace and in other venues and have seen that Name affect change in people's lives. After all Church we are the carriers of the Name. Let us exercise that authority and power with love to those in need by using the name above every name, JESUS!

Are you a part of the Samson generation?

The Holy Spirit spoke to me recently and said that many in the church of Jesus Christ are a part of the Samson generation. Just what is the Samson generation? The Samson generation is a group of believer's who instead of depending upon the leading of the Holy Spirit for direction in their life instead walk after the way of the flesh.

Samson was mightily anointed of God but instead of remaining holy and committing himself to the ways of God he made the choice of doing things the way he wanted. God's grace kept him, but eventually Samson lost his sight. When we are walking in the flesh we lose sight of what God has called us to do. We begin to complain and backbite. We don't have any idea where we need to be or what we are doing. But when we repent, God can lead us back. As in the case of Samson we will need to walk in faith and have someone else lead us back to the place of destiny. This happen in Samson's case when the child led Samson to the pillars where he through gaining his strength once more was able to bring down the place where the Philistines had gathered.

The church of Jesus Christ is producing to many Samson's who are not willing to humble themselves and be like the One they say they serve. As the day of judgement approaches more and more of these Samson like Christians will be faced with a decision whether they want to stay on their current path or repent and try to regain their destiny in God. The hour is short Church. We need more Samuel type Christians within the body. People who will say, "Speak Lord your servant hears", and than obey His instructions. Commit yourself and your ways unto God and watch as He moves in your midst changing not only your course in life but those you encounter.

Healing is it God's Will?

People in the world today wonder if God is the healer. Many Christians accuse God of being the author of sickness and disease. But is it true? What does God say in His word? For one thing God says that He is the healer. The word declares that He is name is Jehovah Rap ha, the Lord God that healeth thee. Now if God is the one who says He is a healer than either He is telling the truth or He is a big liar.

I have seen God move on people in my own life and see Him heal bodies. Healing is God's will. The devil is the author of sickness and disease. In the book of Job we see in Chapter 2 that Satan puts boils on Job. God allowed it, but He did not put the sickness on Job. Acts 10:38 declares that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and power, who went about doing good healing all that sick and oppressed of the devil. Our God is the healer. Don't let anyone else declare to you that He is anything less. Praise the name of the Lord. For He is good and his goodness brings healing and deliverance to all who are afflicted. Praise His holy name!
